2013 Officers and Board of Directors Announced

SAN DIEGO – The San Diego Chapter of CCIM, an internationally recognized and leading commercial real estate association, is proud to announce its roster of newly elected 2013 Board Members, including 2013 president, Lauri Hines, CCIM, CPM, president and managing director for Sperry Van Ness / Promus Commercial, AMO. The local chapter will usher in its new slate of officers and directors at a celebratory installation scheduled for December 13.
In addition to Hines, elected officers include: Peter Carr, CCIM, with California Bank & Trust, vice president – president elect; Michael Habib, CCIM, with Coldwell Banker Commercial, secretary; and Robert Teglia, CCIM, with Newmark, Grubb, Knight, Frank, treasurer. 2012 president, Karen MacLeod, LLB, CCIM, continues on the board as immediate past president and will serve as the 2013 First Regional Vice President for CCIM National Region Two.
2013 Directors At Large include: Dennis Alviso with Chicago Title; Kathy Biewenga with Asset Preservation; Fred Caminite, CPM, CCIM, with Kelly Capital; Jim Casale, CCIM, with Lee & Associates; Charlie Copelan, CCIM, MCRE, with McKinney Advisory Group; Gary Cornelssen, CCIM, with Marcor Investment Properties; Jessie Greer, CCIM, with Greer Group, Inc.; Randy Walsh, CCIM, with San Diego Energy Desk; David Sandoval, CCIM, with the City of San Diego; and Adam Weinberg, CCIM, with the County of San Diego.
Newly appointed 2013 chapter president, Hines is a long-standing board member of the CCIM San Diego Chapter and is past president of San Diego IREM Chapter 18. Hines is past president and a current member of the Board of Directors of the Bobby Jo Lewis Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation and co-founded the REstart program, a program dedicated to training disadvantaged individuals to work in the property management industry. She is a 2011 graduate of the Jay W. Levine Leadership Academy of CCIM International, a member of the CCIM Institute Member Services Committee, and is a recognized expert witness and management consultant. Hines is principal and president | managing director of Sperry Van Ness | Promus Commercial, AMO®. She has been involved in commercial real estate since 1984 and is dubbed by The Wall Street Transcript as one of “the nation’s foremost real estate authorities.”

CCIM Region 2 First Vice President Announced

The CCIM Institute announced that Karen MacLeod, LLB, CCIM, 2012 San Diego Chapter President, has been elected to serve as 2013 1st Regional Vice President for Region 2 which includes California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, and Hawaii.
Karen is serving as 2012 President of the CCIM San Diego Chapter. Karen obtained her CCIM Designation in 2008 in Chicago. She has been a member of the CCIM San Diego Board of Directors since 2008, serving as Secretary in 2009 and 2010, and Vice-President in 2011. Karen has been an active member of numerous CCIM San Diego committees. As secretary she revised the Chapter bylaws and ran a successful RFP for a new Chapter Administrator. She is particularly proud of her work on Candidate Guidance, which she has overseen since 2009.
