    Does "going green" positively impact the bottom line? This webinar provides an overview of green measurement systems from the landlord, developer and tenant perspectives.

    Norm Miller, Professor and the Director of the MSRE Program at the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate at the University of San Diego, uses the latest statistical data available through CoStar to survey more 200 buildings and 2000 tenants. As a result, CCIMs will be better equipped to properly analyze green buildings.

    Dr. Miller has numerous academic articles, books and articles in trade market publications on housing, brokerage, mortgage risk, valuation and many other topics. Dr. Miller has lectured globally and domestically from Singapore and Thailand to Russia. He has worked extensively with various trade associations and became one of the first "Distinguished Fellows" of NAIOP in 2002 as well as one of the primary instructors for NAIOP educational programs. He is currently an Educational Consultant for CCIM. His research covers housing risk analysis, price forecasting, AVMs, mortgage risk analysis and sustainable real estate. As a Homer Hoyt Land Use Institute Faculty and Board member, based in North Palm Beach Florida he is involved with some premier thought leaders among academics and industry professionals in a think tank setting for annual conferences on real estate issues and trends.

    Currently he is President of HIRE, the Hoyt Institute for Real Estate, which promotes commercial real estate education and career path awareness.
     

  • CCIM INTRO COURSE

    This Introduction course provides an overview of the key aspects of commercial investment real estate.  In two days you will be introduced to each phase of investment analysis, from selecting a property to estimating annual revenues, and apply these skills through a real-world case study.  Course highlights include solving problems using a financial calculator, understanding commercial leases, performing the basics of investment analysis and evaluating mortgage loans.
